Saimaa Cycle Tour 2027

Saimaa Cycle Tour 2027 will take place on 9-11 July, 2027 and there are three different routes of different lengths, from which you can choose the one that suits your fitness level.

All routes are on asphalt roads, except for the 7.5 km Vuoksi Tour for children, which is partly on a gravel cycling path.

  • Saimaa Cycle Tour 300 km - The first departure for this route will happen on Friday 9 July at 19:00. The start of the route is in Imatra and the route circles around Saimaa clockwise through cities of Lappeenranta, Taipalsaari, Savitaipale, Mikkeli, Puumala and Ruokolahti back to the finish in Imatra.
  • Lappeenranta Tour 150 km - The first departure for this route will happen on Saturday 10 July at 8:00. The route starts in Imatra, from where it runs to Lappeenranta and Taipalsaari from where it returns to Imatra. This route is also suitable for electric bikes.
  • Saimaa Canal Tour 90 km - The first departure for this route will happen on Saturday 10 July at 9:30. The route starts in Imatra, from where it runs to Joutseno and Saimaa Canal from where it returns to Imatra. This route is also suitable for electric bikes.
  • Skoda Children's Cycling - Vuoksi Tour 7,5 km and Imatrankoski Tour 1,4 km round Imatrankoski. Registration for Skoda children's cycling will open in April 2026.

Saimaa Gravel Tour 2027

Saimaa Gravel Tour will take place on Sunday 11 July, 2027 and there are three different routes of different lengths, from which you can choose the one that suits your fitness level.

The routes will be mainly on sand or gravel roads and trails. The routes are also suitable for electric bikes

  • Saimaa Gravel Tour LONG (160 km) - The route is 160 km long and the start will be in Imatra, from where it runs to the on the west side of Saimaa Canal from where it returns to shores of Lake Saimaa and back to riverside of Vuoksi river and to the finish at Imatra. The first group will depart on Sunday 11 July at 08:00.
  • Saimaa Gravel Tour MEDIUM (110 km) - The route is 110 km long and the start will be in Imatra, from where it runs to the Saimaa Canal and back to Imatra. This route is also suitable for electric bikes
  • Saimaa Gravel Tour SHORT (65 km) - The route will be 65 km long, starting and finishing in Imatra. This route is also suitable for electric bikes
