Important Information for Saimaa Cycle Tour 150+150 km Sleepover Participants

A warm welcome to the Saimaa Cycle Tour 150+150 km sleepover route! This unique route offers breathtaking landscapes of Lake Saimaa and an amazing cycling experience spread over two days.

This page contains important instructions regarding the event and your overnight stay.

Overnight accommodation

  • Each participant can bring a small, closable bag (e.g., a backpack or a similar-sized sports bag, no suitcases) for the overnight stay to the event storage before departure.
  • When bringing goods, please indicate that you are participating in the 150+150km trip and staying overnight in Mikkeli.
  • Your luggage will be transferred to your hotel in Mikkeli while you pedal to Mikkeli.
  • Your luggage can be found at the hotel reception.

Overnight storage of bikes

Event signs marked with the 150+150km identifier will direct you to the hotel's parking garage, where your bikes will be stored overnight. The garage is located at the end of the covered car park.

Dinner

Food will be delivered to the hotel from the Mikkeli service point. Participants can also use Mikkeli's local restaurant services at their own expense.

Departure to Imatra in the Saturday morning

If you want to get to the Saimaa Cycle Tour service points before they close, you should leave no later than 8:00 AM.

150 + 150 km Schedule for the Participants

  • Fri, July 10th by 11:00: Bag drop-off at the bike and luggage storage in the event's expo area
  • Fri, July 10th at 16:00: 150+150 km cyclists depart form the start at Imatra
  • Fri, July 10th from 21:00 onwards: Event-provided food from the Mikkeli service point available in the hotel dining room
  • Sat, July 11th by 08:00: Cyclists must depart from the hotel by this time at the latest to ensure reaching the event's service points while they are open
  • Sat, July 11th from 15:00 onwards: Bag pick-up at the bike and luggage storage in the event's expo area
  • Sat, July 11th at 19:00: Bag pick-up closes
