The Saimaa Cycle Tour routes all depart and return from Imatra. There are three route options from which you can easily choose a route based on your fitness level. All routes run over asphalted roads through one of the most beautiful lake areas in the world.
The Saimaa Cycle Tour routes have been designed by three-time Elite road cycling Finnish Champion Juho Suikkari. All the routes are based on his former training routes.
Saimaa Cycle Tour main route's final length is approximately 286 kilometers. The route departure from and finish to City of Imatra. The route start at Imatra rapids and it runs through several cities and beautiful lake landscapes, including the Finland's national landscape of Punkaharju Esker where lakes will surround you on both sides of the road. Along the route there are several service points which offer water, coffee, nutrition, first aid, massage and bike service. Warm food is also available in every 100 kilometers.

The length of Jaakko's Tour is approximately 82 kilometers. The route departs from Imatra and the finish is also situated in Imatra. The route starts is at Imatra rapids and it travels through the Ruokolahti Church Hill and and then takes a tour around the Äitsaari island. Äitsaari is the home ground of Finnish professional rider Jaakko Hänninen, who rides for World Tour team AG2R Citroën Team.
There are two service points along the route:
The length of the Ruokolahti route is approximately 36 km. The route departs from Imatra and the finish is also situated in Imatra. The route starts is at Imatra rapids and it travels through beautiful Ruokolahti Church Hill before returning back to Imatra. There is a single service point along the route, where you can find water, coffee, nutrition, SPR first aid and bike service.
